    Description

    For sale is a vintage aptware plate by Atelier Bernard. The previous owner bought these in France some time in the 1980s. This particular piece is approx 7" in diameter. It is octagonal with blue swirls and cream colored beaded rim. I believe this is either a dessert plate or a bread & butter plate; and I only have 4. As far as I can tell it's impossible to find this sort of ware, as only a few studios make this, and the recipes to achieve the swirled look are very guarded. They'd be a great addition to any collection!
    NOTE: These pieces have some light crazing to the edges. I think this is mainly from the firing / manufacturing process as they were rarely, if ever used for food.
