Own a very rare piece of Home Depot, Do-It-Yourself, and retail advertising history, Chances are ... you won't find this anywhere else • 89-page catalog, seasonal catalog • Issue, #4 • Design and production by Crossroads Home Depot Advertising Department, which was 2 people • An interesting and important retail concept store piece • Printed on newsprint, with coated cover • See the top DIY and Farm & Ranch items and prices of the day What was Home Depot Crossroads: Crossroads was the concept store for the midwest region serving the needs of farmers & ranchers along with the core Home Depot customer. It was run as a division of HD with a complete buying and operations staff. It lasted about 2 years. The first mega-warehouse was in Quincy, Ilinois, the second in Waterloo, Iowa. The massive warehouses were around 400,000 sq.ft. The catalog called 'the Big Orange Catalog' was the first of it's kind outside a 'Granger-type' catalog. Most catalogs of its type showed 300-500 SKUs.
