Overview:
This set of four Natsume are called "Natsume for Four Seasons (in Japanese: ShiKi Natsume (四季棗)".
It consist of four Natsume, i.e., one for each of four seasons.
In tea ceremony, people appreciate the season (they are in) and use a tea utensil matching to the particular season.
This was made by a popular Japanese lacquerware artisan
MIYATA Sohkei (宮田 宗景).
He was born in 1953 in Echizen (越前) area learned the laquerwar technique from a legend artisan MINOWA Issei (蓑輪 一星).
Design:
The motives of these natsume are typical plants or
scenery
representing each of the seasons.
Spring: Plants in early spring, e.g.

Condition:
- All the Natsume tea caddies and their wooden boxes are in excellent condition.
No chips, cracks or marks.
- Sign of aging could be seen on the paper box (photo. #12).
