Vintage Leviton Kwikchange Pilot Light Receptacle Outlet 754 Brown

Description

NOS in factory package Leviton Kwikchange 754 Brown Pilot Light Receptacle Outlet.
Polarized Receptacle with a wire exiting the back which makes contact with the Hot side of the line when a plug is inserted.  This lead was then connected to a pilot light to inform the user that an item was left plugged in.
Back in the day this was commonly done with appliances like clothes irons that did not have an ON / OFF switch.
You can cap off the wire if not used or connect it to the HOT side of the line.
Unique Design is NOT interchangeable with Despard Devices.
You will have trouble finding this at the hardware store!
Absolutely new and never installed.  Some scuffs and oxidation noted but otherwise excellent.
Rare and unique.
